My tip to win the league, Sheriff Tiraspol of Transnistria went out too, as did my other two favourite teams Aktobe of Kazakhstan and FK Qarabag of Azerbaijan. St Johnstone and Sheriff Tiraspol really did look like bankers to me but then it is a really tough league to win, especially at the qualifying stage.
The only good news was that Celtic managed to score a goal in the European Champions League. This was quite an achievement against the might of Legia Warsaw, so a 1-6 defeat at least keeps Scottish football's head held high.
Whatever others may say, if you want a bargain 1 million pound star of the future then definitely go to Scotland or Moldova to get him.
