    I haven't long got back.

We were atrocious in the first half. It was like playing our first pre-season friendly and the goal was thanks to some terrible defending from a free kick. The only players to emerge from that half were Whatmough and Taylor.

The second half was much better. Barcham should have scored and once Atangana came on we took control of the game, Jed scored and we had enough chances to go on and win.

Overall, a draw is not a terrible result by any means given how dire we were before the break. Hopefully Awford has learned some lessons about his squad, mainly that Westcarr shouldn't be played out wide and Storey is a better option than Barcham. I have a feeling Chorley may also be dropped in favour of Robinson on Tuesday.

Just got back myself and I agree with Jim.

1 up front doesn't work either imo.

Nope too often Taylor was winning long balls but had nobody to flick them to.

One thing that was encouraging was that we tried to play the ball out of defence more often than hoofing it to nobody.

Thought Webster was a liability at the back today so Wynter will probably get his chance on Tuesday too.

Thought Whatmough should have been man of the match played well in both halfs along with Taylor, the whole team was better second half. I thought that Webster looked better second half and linked up well with Wallace who also had a very good second half. We had 14 shots to their 4 so we will need to be more clinical if we are to do better this season.

On another note I sat with a number of Pompey fans in the Exeter section of the stand nearest to where the Pompey fans sat in the old stand all that split us from the Pompey fan was ha piece of tiger tape and a steward. On the opposite side where the Pompey fans sat in the new stand a whole section of seating was netted off to keep the fans apart talk of double standards I could have been attacked by Pompey fans with very little to stop them.
Also we have moaned in the past about the loos at Fratton Park but the toilet cubicals in that old stand had no lights when you shut the door it was dark enough for a dark room, I had to use the to

I would rest Whatmough , Wallace and Webster on Tuesday save them for next Saturday. Wallace ran himself into the ground and ended up with cramp. All three are still young and are still growing so need to be looked after.
