    Devante Cole?

    The Daily Mirror suggests that we've made an approach to Man City for Andy Cole's 19 year old son Devante.

    Seems McCall watched the England youth cap in a reserve game last week and City are willing to accept the move. - view external link

    Its a real shame that this information has been released. We're better to wait until matters are confirmed before they are leaked.

    That's a good point Wellup4it, however you'll never stop the press from speculating and also there are a LOT of 'Well supporters on this board decrying MFC for not allowing press releases relating to possible signings. Once again it is a case of Dammed if they do and Dammed if they don't. Still it backs up what the manager said in his post match interview
    "we are still looking to bring a couple of new faces in".

    If at all possible this should have been kept quiet as things can always go wrong as we know from past experience. However, I agree with many others that the club's lack of communication after the Starnjan loss was a big mistake. There are many other issues it could have covered in an attempt to drum up interest and new season ticket sales in the lead up to Saturday.

    Even something as simple and basic as telling us that Lee Hollis and Euan Murray had moved on - as it was we were left to put 2 and 2 together on that.

    Saturday's home attendance was disappointing but not surprising as the lead up to the St Mirren game was very flat. Many fans were disillusioned and that could have been mitigated, to some extent.

    I was a bit happier hearing Stuart McCall saying that there would be signings. I hope they come off, as we badly need more depth to the pool.

    Looks perfect for us over 6 feet quick and can play center forward or on right and left wings seems hes discussing with his dad andy whether would be good move for him or not. If he can score as many goals as his dad did would be great signing

    The one thing that McCall has done for the team is coach how to score goals;

    * Turning Higgy into top scorer of the season
    * Doubling Suttons past season record.

    McCall is a strange mix , whenever I hear him talking I think he talks alot of sense and almost certainly knows each players strengths and weaknesses. As as far as preparing and getting ready for league games (whether we like every performance or not) he certainly knows how to stack up the points for us. Hes probably the best we've had in my lifetime for league points I'd just love to sit in on his team talks for cup ties.

    Don't know if that's what we need. We already have a young 6ft centre forward. Just have to wait to see what pans out.

    Why can’t we sign a Bob, a Ted or an Alice. But Devante !!
    When the East Stand sing .. “One Devnate Cole. There’s only one Devante Cole”. They could be right.
    Can’t help thinking of Johnny Cash record 'A Boyd Sue'
