    Goals against

I know a lot is being made about our problems in defence but unless im mistaken all 5 goals we have lost in league this season have come from shots outside the box. That is a big difference from last year as we were being ripped apart and lost loads of goals inside 6 yard box all we need to do now is stop the players from getting the shots away and remember who we used to score goals maybe all the players should watch the goals videos from the last 2 yrs to see how its done

This is becoming boring now - how many times do I have to say it. Our problems ultimately lie with the coaching team!!!! The team are not fit, they are not doing the basics - tackling, passing, shooting, ball control etc to an acceptable standard. Lazy pay-cheque players are being given a start no matter what - Vigurs, Ainsworth. The manager is tactically inept - we score one goal and he automatically tries to defend it when we should be using controlled aggression to kill the game off. What is Gordon Marshall teaching? Both goalkeepers seem to lack technique - which has led to un-needed goals being conceded. Some of our players have a first touch as bad as Davie Clarkson an d Lee McCulloch used to. These are a coaching issues which lead me to believe that the management team are neglecting their duties!!!!

I don't mind someone such as yourself standing up the club I have supported for 40 years - but I do know the difference between slow and unfit! In my opinion some of the players seem to be unfit - based on the condition of those you see blowing out their backsides. This may improve over a period but we are now into the season - they should have been fit for the start of the season not a month or two into it.
As far as slow players go - their speed can increase given the right training and diet - it's not rocket science!

We have only lost pace where the players has gone. We've only ever had two players at most at anytime in the first team with pace. I sit and say it ever season to my mates other teams get up the park in 2 or 3 moves we take an eternity and when they 9 9 of them are still in our own half admiring the view.

Thats it for me. Our midfield takes forever to mount an attack, advancing at snail's pace. This allows the opposition to close us down and filter back to form serried ranks of defenders, into which we can't penetrate.

You're right, generally speaking we only have a couple of players at any one time with pace. Add to that ageing players like Hammell and Lasley are even slower than they were last year.
