    In Dyche we trust ?

Never liked that saying, or the ginger Mourhino.

Don't get me wrong I believe Sean Dyche can motivate footballers, I can see that in interviews that he is media savvy, he has certain value's and rules that seem to work and a training regime that makes our players seem more fitter.

And lets not forget his greatest feat yet, promotion to the Premiership with little old Burnley only spending around 400 thousand Pounds.

So how come the Burnley board are NOT backing him ?

I have said it before in 2009 when we was in the Premiership last time with the Modus magician Flood actually costing BFC money, and the board looking stupid with a 5 Million pound black hole after all the accounts had been verified, even the catering yet them saying it was because of beer and Pies

    (1) Kilby said we would be stable for the next 10 years.

    (2) Coyle jumped ship and at the time I said it was maybe because of him not getting funds, yes he wasted a lot of money on rubbish along the way but still

You Burnley boys obviously know more about what is going on there than the rest of us, but looking at how much Burnley have spent and the quality of players coming in suggests Dyche is not being supported by the board? Also it could be that the really top players don't want to go to Burnley?

Looks like it is going to be a long hard season for you but we are all hoping Burnley can retain your premier league status, if so i cant wait for me and Rammy to go up there again next season, Rammy is desperate to get revenge for that "unjust" result of last season

I agree with what you say Alto, I'm just looking forward to winning a few games before we inevitably return to the championship at the end of the season. We just can't compete on a level playing field without any investment in players and it's not going to happen with the board we have.. To be honest I phookin hate the premiership and all it stands for ,

Thanks Alf, I thought I may have been on my own with my thoughts, I have been looking at ClaretsMad (please forgive me) and one thing that is getting right up my nose is folk saying. "Stop moaning, just enjoy the Premiership" Its no fun knowing that we are p!$$ing in the wind when we have a chance to consolidate with a bit more funds instead of keeping a tight fist on the money, alienating the Manager and going straight back down again, because IMO if we do get relegated we will not be back again for a long long time.

I'm with you Alf, I hate the Premiership and all it stands for, but I'd like us to have a proper go at it and for the board to grow a pair and back the Manager.

The problem here yet again is that some of our own supporters (and supporters of other clubs) think that as soon as you are promoted to the Premier League, a Sky lorry turns up at the club with 120 gazillion Sky Lizard Dollars in it.

We got our first payment last week, which after ground improvements, loans paid back, signing on fees and player bonuses, I would think that there isn't much change left.

'Don't forget the huge increase in season ticket money, plus the retainer'

You talk as though we have got all that money in Alto. I would expect (it is Burnley after all) that most would have taken the 3 or 6 months direct debit option of paying.

The manager is being backed, bids of 6,4,3 and 2.5 millions pounds have been knocked back over the last month or so. Are them players worth just saying to their current club... what do you want for him?, we'll give you as much as you want. The answer for me is no.

Of course we need players in, that's obvious to anyone but do we need overpric

So behind the not that botherted calm exterior Laz, OTR is a slavering angry person out to hopefully get revenge against us?

    That is so last season.

Hmmmm! It seems the two Claret exiles agree and the Claret town dweller differs

    Which one is right?

Only one way to find out ...

I love these debate's because we all want the same for the Club we love and support no matter what happens, good points Stan and as you will know I respect them from one Claret to another, just to give you my reply, some of which are in my opening post.

No problem with me expecting a lorry from Sky arriving at the Turf Stan as the dizzy bastids would probably deliver it to Oakwell , I realise we get the dosh in instalments and not in one lump.

I am not in the know but I have it on good authority that after all of the ground improvements, Directors loans and bonus payments etc etc, we have actually got about 5 Million pounds to spend, but that is not my bug bear.

When you are the owner of a business, be it a little corner shop or a big multi Million pound company you want to at least maintain if not better your business.

    (1) Directors taking their money back now is detrimental to Burnley Football Club. = Money in Directors pockets.

    (2) The retainer and overpriced season ticket
