How Was The' 'Well Performance Today?

Not including the two goals which I have been told were excellent - how was our team performance today - was there any improvement in our play?

A bit of an improvement. Erwin did well with his contributions in attack though he caused a few scares by losing the ball while defending. Vigurs was keen to get the ball & he teamed up well with Lasley.

Delighted with Sutton's goal, he had a smile a mile wide when he ran to the away fans celebrating his goal.

Ojamaa came on for a late spell but still lacks his former sparkle.

First and foremost the 3 points are very welcome. Thats the bottom line.

I was bit surprised at the team line up and despite Stuart McCall's pre match comments it would appear that some players like ZFA have still not fully recovered from injury. We had no pace at all in the starting line up and for that reason its surprising to see Ainsworth benched again. Something clearly is not right with him.

I have knowledge of the game details but from text reports it appears that County had a worrying number of efforts on goal, almost all of which were unsuccessful.

I was at the game, in the first half we started very well but after 5 minutes Ross County took control of the game and had a few chances, with about 7 minutes to go to half time we were in complete control and retained possession, overall they had the better of the first half. My perspective was that we were not getting enough good balls to the two strikers and although both of them huffed and puffed they were more or less inefectual. The second half started with a bang , an absolute cracker of a free Kick from Vigurs, which all the players celebrated enthusiastically. Erwin was then pushed off the ball by the last man and was dumbfounded when there was no free kick awarded, within minutes though John Sutton hit an inch perfect shot over the keeper and under the bar from 30 yds, for at that stage a well deserved second, from them on we were in control and looked the side more likely to score next, Sutton came close with a low bending shot that just went passed the post with th

Well done going all the way to Dingwall FPL. Really happy that the team performed for those of you who travelled. I was at Kilmarnock a few weeks ago and left the game wondering where goals were going to come from this season. I still think we are in the mix of avoiding relegation or the play-off spot rather than making the top six. We have been punching way above our weight in recent years. Will be there with the rest of us over the next weeks/months suffering as we have done over the years! I hope that the drummer and the youngsters with him keep our spirits up. Come on the 'Well!
