Reminds me of the time my Mum went for a day to Iceland (the country)on a chartered Concord trip.
Blue pool is apparently nice, but alcohol expensive.

I haven't but have considered on the recommendation of some who have been and who said.

Scenically very stunning and of course the Geysers Hot Pools are a must visit. You'll need to hire a 4x4 for any major touring as roads outside Reykavik and the immediate area are mostly dirt or snow/ice (depending on time of year)

Not much of a place for sand sea and surf obviously. Think the Footy season is still running . Moist teams play in and around the Capital or in the the two mentioned below.

Other Towns quite small like Keflavik (Airport) or Akeyruri the 2nd town so don't imagine there is a lot else. Think a week seemed to be the most stayed

Language is original 14th century Danish but needless to say English is spoken widely Bit of nightlife and usual bars/restaurants with emphasis on fish (obviously) Scandinavian smorgesboard sort of thing.

One couple took a trip out to that Volcano Island but said its a bit desolate scenery.

Have fun if you do go

There's a part of Iceland where the North American Fault Line runs alongside the Europe Fault Line.
About 4 feet apart apparently.Right thats my useless contribution done.
