    Cardiff

It appears that Russell Slade has resigned as the Leyton Orient manager in order to take up the reins at Cardiff.

    Loyalty?

This is an interesting one, Abbo. Russell Slade has been at Orient since 5 April 2010. However, after the takeover of Francesco Becchetti during the summer of 2014, Slade's Orient side started poorly. After failing to win any of their first 3 home games, Slade was informed by Becchetti via Sporting Director Mauro Milanese, that he had 'one game or its curtains'. After drawing the next game vs Notts County, Slade managed to keep hold of his job.

I think that, under these circumstances and with the lure of a bigger club and probably more funds available for transfers. He is more than justified in seeking to move up the ladder. Had he been backed by Becchetti, rather than threatened it might have been a different story.

Orient are currently 17th in League One with 10 points from 8 Matches.

A big risk if you ask me for both Cardiff and Russell Slade. On one hand, he could easily have stayed with Orient, but his new chairman has already given him the dreaded vote of confidence. He could also soon to be the new boss at Cardiff, a team who haven't started the season well and then there's Vincent Tan.

You have to wonder how long it will take Tan to realise that constantly changing the manager is not likely to be the way forward. Instant success is a rarity these days, although Kenny did very well in a very short time.
