Chris Eagles To Join Millwall on Trial..

Former Bolton midfielder Chris Eagles is set to undergo a trial at Millwall, three months after he was released by Wanderers.

For the first time in his professional career, Eagles is a free agent and the fact that he has struggled to find a new club has surprised many followers of the game.

The 28-year-old was briefly linked with a shock move to League One side Bradford City earlier in the summer, but the former Manchester United academy graduate looks set to be handed a route back into Championship football by impressing Lions boss Ian Holloway during a trial period.

Eagles, who scored 19 goals in 106 appearances during a three-year spell with Bolton, has been keeping fit by training at a boxing gym in the Moss Side region of Manchester.

Speaking to The Bolton News earlier this month, Eagles said: "I went down to a boxing gym in Moss Side and I can't thank them enough for what they have done.

"I feel really great at the moment, it has been a supportive environment, and I'm ready

Shame Freedman and Eagles couldn't get along and that we couldn't get the very best out of him at Bolton.

On top blob he is miles ahead of any player we currently employ!

Very weird that it seems to have gone totally down hill for him

i wish chris eagles well and success if he joins millwall

again his game is only a 50% return of success but that at the moment would certainly help our cause if he still had him

Exactly JJ , I don't mind spelling mistakes, when I read back my posts I usually spot a silly wrong spelling anyway , but I don't know why but that one really winds me up!! - view external link
