    S. McC Critics

Is SMcC starting to answer his critics with an away point against a top European side that once again relied on a couple of poor ref decisions to save them from defeat?
PS big Suttie will not miss an easier chance to give us 0-2 half time lead, but going on recent seasons 2 goal leads it would have resulted in a total collapse in the second half. Dan the Wee Man also worthy of a mention, exception performance. PPS. Nice to see the Ginga Winger on Match of the Day on Saturday night giving us an unbiased and impartial view on the matches without him spitting venom ...wonder why Alan Shearer was not sitting beside him.

Irrespective of the manager our start to the season has been hampered by injuries, which have unquestionably affected our form. To what extent exactly I don't know. Questions still remain about our manager however. The time though to take stock will be at the end of the season. By that time we'll have had another league campaign and two domestic cups on which to base any assessment.

if Rangers keep up their p1ss poor form we may not get the chance to assess McCall

there were no questions for the manager to answer in the first place! I hope now that said boo boys will pipe down and the team can get on with the quality they have became well known to produce over a season.

hard luck about the penalty, wouldn't had mattered if the sutton chance in particular had went in, but them the breaks!
It's a good point in the bag that would have been taken before kick off, and more important 2 points of them..

    I'll put this quite simply.

If we are not still in the League Cup on Thursday morning then McCall's time is up in my opinion.

We are still playing catch up because we were, in my opinion ill prepared for the season ahead. That can't happen again. McCall's done a great job in the league over the years, but i think he will have to do something in the cups this year or fans are going to get really p***** off. We've had the best chance to do something in cup competition over the past few years and blew it every time, often against teams we really should be beating. From a personal point of view, i think he's done well with us since he's been here, when you consider budget cuts etc. One things for sure, it's only going to get tougher for him when hearts, hibs and rangers come back into the league. If he's still here of course.

    To summarise

We've had our best league form since the 70's
We're pi55ed off at our displays in Europe
    We've not won a cup

So unless we win a cup he should leave ?

We've had more European games under McCall - because of how well we've done in the league. Without him we may never have got European footy in the first place.

We've won a cup twice in 128 years -WTF - why should we expect SMc to win one ? It's hardly a prerequisite of being a Well Mgr.

Accept the facts - over the tenure, in the main our Club has been better than expected. Time for a dose of realism.

SMc has been, is and will continue to be a very good manager for MFC. Is he perfect, no, I would guess he would front of the line to admit that

This season, he clearly didn't get pre-season right, surely too much of a coincidence the results before and after the intl break

A cup would be a dream, starting this week.

Nobody has a right to a job for life any more! SMc deserves a longer rope than most given his record, so let us see where we are when Santa calls. Last 2 games have lifted spirits, next 2 against our neighbours will hopefully keep us in a cup and get us to mid table.

    Come on ye Well

I don't mean we have to win a cup...a run in either would be a step forward.
