Humble Pie & Hats on the menu?

Despite our record vs Millwall I didn't see last night coming and LC deserves credit for lifting the players.
Having viewed the highlights it is difficult to get a full picture of the individual contribution of any of the players, but it is the result that matters. Given that the game appeared to follow a similar pattern to those when we have squandered points from winning positions, are we in fact not that far from being in the realms of mid table safety? (yes, I am hardly being ambitious)
Pannu leaving has to be a plus and was the ad for a commercial vacancy evidence that the board are trying to hire someone to sell the club?
Why is it that one unexpected result rekindles the embers of optimism that are so regularly urinated upon by what I consider to be inept management of club and team?
I find myself wishing for the forgotten euphoria of the prospect of back to back wins! KRO

Probably for the same reason that we all thought we would win the FA Cup in 1975.

Probably for the same reason that when the Arsenal Centre half and goalie produced a Birmingham City style stuff up and the ball fell to an unmarked Blue right in front of an open goal my first thought was "This is going over the top".

Because we're like boxing fans; we keep getting taken but we keep coming back for more.

We're like cockroaches; they survived thee extinction of the dinosaurs. We'll still be around when the fat lady starts singing...

Superb posts gentlemen. The site has emerged from it's slumbers and is once again the foremost site for the blues glitterati.

I am hoping that his absence means business is really good in Southport right now; or he is cutting his first solo record

You capture the essence of bluenose. Now I understand my destiny. With wordsmiths of this quality perhaps the site should become "paid for" and we could buy the club with the proceeds!
As for the centre half/goalie mix up, when I saw whose foot was by the ball my pre match premonition was coming true. Saw loads of Martens tumble goal celebrations at The Toon ( with my son, who being born up here, is part of the Pardew Out contingent. There are signs he is seeing the light, as he had taken me to St Andrews) and always believed such was going to happen when the winning goal would be scored (ok, I didn't know it would be so late in the game)
If Fulham can win 2 on the bounce, then why cant we? KRO

Whatever comes on Saturday comes on Saturday: a long season ahead and we need to keep pecking away a the points. It would be great to get some momentum in the club and if it starts on the pitch then that's fine with me.
The optimist in me says lower mid-table. The pragmatist says the if at the last game of the season, we're neither relegated or just about to be, then that will do for me.

Viper ume always cruising. Very dangerous occupation you Kernow. SS Concordia and all that. My Co-op Blues shirt I could have sold for 2500 roubles in St. Petersburg. One of the best shirts we ever had and nowThe Co-op and Blues are on their knees. My first pocket Monet was earnt delivering gold top and collecting the tokens off of the doorstep.
