    Partick Thistle - 24h on

Good times, bad times. That's what supporting a team is all about. Got to be able to suffer the downside to compensate for those golden moments like we experienced at Pittodrie in May. - view external link

Just adds to the confusion JWOK - I mean, how can a squad almost identical to them that won on 'Pittawdrie Day' become so dire, inept and disinterested in little more than 12 weeks?

If I knew the answer to that I'd be on the phone to Mr McCall

He won't be there chaps, he's on 'international duty'
Would suggest he'd be better dealing with problems nearer home...instead of playing at being billy big b0ll0cks.

I was at Saturday's game as a neutral. It was a poor performance by Motherwell, certainly relative to what I've been used to seeing from them in recent seasons.

I saw a noticeable difference in the style of play from that which has helped Motherwell to high league positions. The long ball to Sutton didn't really pay off all game although he probably won about 80% of the ball played into his head and there was the odd thing that nearly came off.

What I was accustomed to seeing was a team with a bit of pace in key areas, such as in and around a central target man striker. You lacked this on Saturday. Ojaama had a good first half but was carrying a lone threat.

You lack balance and shape in the middle of the park too and were a bit wobbly at the back.

Have no idea why Ainsworth didn't start. The game is all about pace and he at least gets you guys up the field as a ball carrier and poses a genuine threat on the break. With Ojaama and Sutton and him that's a decent enough forward line

    Fair point AFC_83.
In our current plight, excluding Ainsworth makes no sense at all.

Not sure who number 4 was. He was very poor.
All good points. Our midfield is the root cause of our problems. Its unbalanced and is woefully short of pace. Poor decision making by management has allowed this situation to develop. Number 4 is Stuart Carswell - I agree about him and don't think he's worth a place in the team. An honest trier but mediocre.
