UKIP won the Clacton by-election with a 12,400 majorty which was a 60% swing!!! Is this the start of further UKIP wins? Are the British people now sick and tired of how the Tories and Labour have run our country? Is this a protest vote against immigration and the EEU?

Now that UKIP have a member of parliament in Westminster maybe people will not regard a vote for them as a wasted vote? The next General Election is going to be interesting.

I am not convinced UKIP will be any better and the tw@t F***ge will become a monking victim by opposers and the media, along with the ignorant who want to attack him, (under the guise of accusing him of being a racist), because he dares to speak his mind. Those that choose to use violence beit verbal or physical against the man are in general, imo, ignorant oafs and should be given a lesson in decency manners and respect

But one thing is for sure - the people of the UK from whatever origins , home or abroad, are fed up with the influx.

So there is, i feel, massive potential for UKIP to have a real impact on the final counts

One thing is for sure we need to stake claim on this Green and pleasant land

I'm not deep into politics and know next to nothing but I know what is right and wrong, which is only my opinion which will differ greatly with the majority on this forum and in the wider population of this once great Country, so my view s are:

This UKip leader won Clacton (I blame my Mother in law) with a 12,400 majority, giving a swing of 60% towards UKip, I think these media reports are going over the top on Ukip's big win, was not the UKip leader a Conservative not so long ago ? With Conservative views, thought's and idea's ? O.K he's jumped ship to UKip believing their beliefs a better way, but surely the voter's in Clacton have voted for the man not the party, there are a lot of normal folk who are staunch UKip followers and there a few (believe it or not) very good MP's, but the Majority of normal folk

All well and good Alto, but we all know the score. Big business fund the Tories campaign and the media owners create stories which back them, come election time. People vote for them. They privatise things so their mates get their money back tenfold and the rest. With each comes worse working conditions for the worker. That gets sidetracked as worker is turned on worker, or those that can't get the few jobs around for taking 'handouts.'

As for the Human Rights Act. It is very misrepresented in the media. They also always forget to point out who drafted the European Convention on Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms. It was Sir David Maxwell Fife and his team. Not some hippy deago spick. An Englishman working for the British Government. The only people that suffer from the Human Rights Act are those that wish to take our rights and freedoms from us. So tell everyone it's all about Abu Hanzza or some other nutter.
