    Saints v Pob

Big game tomorrow, and one I'd love to get all three points given the opposition. I'm hoping RoKo has made the team watch last years cup exits against Sunderland, and the boys are fired up and ready to serve up a can of woopass.

    I don't like pob.

Hopefully a good performance from the team and the Barclays curse can do one. And yes Pod is an unlikable character.

Need to forget the awards and keep the good work going.

A high scoring win will mean 2nd last on MOTD and give them another problem avoiding recognizing our place in the league table.

Setting off for Soton in an hour. Will try to make the Joshua Tree for a couple of beers beforehand. (Not more than a couple, mind. Don't want to get Tarquin too excited).

Sunderland have drawn 5, so far this season, and only concede 1 goal per game on average, so looking like a bus parking exercise will be witnessed, yet again.
That we don't press so high up the pitch, will hopefully work in our favour, as Sunderland may feel obliged to come out with the ball, creating space for us to exploit.

Was it last season, when we let the smallest player, in their team, score with a free header, from an early corner? Can't let things like that happen again.
Will be a good test for Pelle, up against very physical CB's. Can see Mane hitting the deck at every contact.

Not the game many of of us envisioned, apart from the freak own goal Sunderhand were the better team and had the better chances first 20mins. Our second goal took them aback, and we gradually tighten the screw. They were denied a probable penalty, and that was awarded it could have been a completely different game.(would need to see it again).
The third goal was another well worked goal but Sunderland still kept pressing. Pods tactical halftime change was the turning point, taking Brown of completely changed the game, once the fourth went in the Sunderland heads dropped, but I think the fifth, another OG was when they capitulated. Not to take anything from our players, but it was so easy after that. Thoroughly entertained and still to come down. Roll on next week. COGS.

It is difficult to defend, they put balls in the box. There is a big difference between the teams anyway. We need to keep the ball and because we didn’t keep it we lost the game.

They are a team that it doesn’t matter how they play they will always kick it forward and put it in the box - possession against position.

There are ways of setting up a team. You can buy players who are all six foot and play balls long and high, like Stoke, like Colchester last year, like Southampton, or you can choose Craig Noone who is going to give you something that the fans would like, that it is good to pay a ticket for.
Cheers Gus - you certainly p

    Agreed
Didn't think it was a penalty at the time and still don't, i was sat right behind the goal and saw clearly that Fletcher poked the ball, which went wide, bef
