    Ryan TAYLOR

Number 9 for Pompey tonight is Ryan Taylor. Has our lad sunk as low as League 2?

A great lad and Miller through and through.

Got to be one of the best pieces of business we have ever done though.

Didn't we get 300k for him. We didn't get that much more for Alfie initially.

The best of luck to him, would love him to get his career up and running and shine..

His fortunes and those of the club have certainly moved in opposite directions since that sunny day at Wembley just 4.5 years ago.

Good lad Ryan, maybe he left the Millers a season too early. In hindsight he should have stayed with us a little longer.Hope he gets his career back on track.

Taylor R may be a nice lad but he's nowhere near up to professional standard. We should've let him go long before we did - though he did put himself firmly in the shop window at Wembley as the game went his way, unlike Alf who never got a pass all game, unless you call something hit 12 feet above your head a pass.

Ryan joined Portsmouth LAST season (Jan 9) on a free from Bristol City. He's scored 7 league goals in 30 games, made up of 2 goals in 16 this season, one of them being in the JPT. Most of his goals have been penalties.

He started in Jan. 2014 as a first team player but for the last few months he's been mainly on the bench.

On Saturday, 1,000 Pompey fans trekked the vast distance to Plymouth only to see their team 3-0 down inside 30 minutes (2 more goals for Reuben Reid who I think we should take another look at).

A lot of the 1,000 started to leave after 30 minutes and if they have lost to Aldershot tonight without scoring again, I predict big changes will soon be made.
