    'Well hopeful as deadline approaches

The Society meeting saw Alan Todd elected to the board. Looks like we'll know the future of the club at the end of the month. - view external link

Can someone tell what happens when we get papped outta cups early etc once we are "fan owned". The additional funds now required cannot surely guarantee the future of the club but merely offset trouble for a single (or at most a couple) of poor seasons what then ??

Apparently if the Society gets control they have a business plan to take the club forward.

I imagine clause one will state that the budgets will be based on a pessimistic outlook and that no further losses will be entertained. That's the only way to ensure financial stability I think.

I would love to feel positive, but sorry the vibes I get from all the talk around the club is a very negative future, much as I try to remain positive ,from what I read, and hear from the club via website, press etc there is nothing to feel positive about now or the future, far too much uncertanities to feel upbeat and positive about. This has been hanging over the club for too long, and the effects are there for all to see.

Well considering we lose money no matter how well we do in the league that business plan must be centered around much lower player wage budget because we seem incapable of generating more cash from on field success. The return to the yo yo years of the 80s seem a racing certainty ... can't wait.

Don't worry ... we'll surely generate some cash from winning the Scottish Cup this season?
Alternatively, the double header play-off (losing on pens of course), against Sevco will make up the shortfall

Wooo you are hopeful if you think we'd even take Rangers to penalties .. Id reckon it would be done and dusted after 1st leg at Ibrox

As they say what goes up must come down and we are currently coming down. Trips to Norway and Denmark seem like light years away. Beating the sheep on the last day of he season to claim second place. These are all but memories. Over the last few season we have tried to speculate to accumulate. Hoping we would some how win through to the Europa league group stages or find a diamond in the rough and sell them for a pretty penny. The well society in principal is a great idea but it should not be there so the club can continue to over spend. We are looking at big losses if we finish bottom six and go out of the cup on Saturday. It has been suggested that the player budget for this season is the same as last. Really? How. No Hutch no McFadden no Anier. Well at least the win bonuses will be less this year. We no longer pay a CEO or a manager. We find ourselves in a bit of a mess and we hear of soft loans to pay for our losses. Not good. Not good atall. We must stay in the league this seas

Jeeperz - I know things are bad when even you are worried al73. On the Society comment, I agree ... they'll see no more dosh from my wallet until there's some sort of transparency. It's almost as if the folk who've shelled out more monies due to a personal connection / love of the club are the ones that are given the shortest shrift from the club. I don't get it, and I'm not putting up with it any longer.

yes I am worried. Mainly because it has become increasingly obvious that who ever is in charge of the clubs finances is gambling with the clubs future. How we can budget for top six finishes and good cup runs and selling at least 2 players is behond me. Surely you budget for worst case scenario then work from there . We have all enjoyed the good times with some unbelievable memories but we are where we find ourselves. In a bit of a desperate position on and off the pitch. I am hoping that we get a big crowd at the weekend that c
