    Arthur Montford

I was sorry to hear of the passing of the classic commentator. He provided many happy moments even if his jackets made me squirm!

A lot of our younger fans, will have to idea who Arthur Montford was, but for people who remember him, he was as much a part of the weekend, as going to the game. True his taste in jackets was a bit "Unusual", but he will always remind me off my younger days. RIP Arthur

... "and it's Jordan, go on Joe, yes-yes, ya beauty Joe Jordan". Or something of that ilk is what I remember when we beat the Czechs to get to the World Cup.
Due to the amount of respect / credibility Arfur had, there's bound to be a 'stramash' at the funeral

Relentlessly referred to by my grandfather as 'Mountford'. My favourite memory is '...and the ball is walked into the net! Rangers 2, Motherwell 5'!.
    One of the good guys.
