Yes we played well but I wouldn't say we were super. Final third we never looked like scoring really.

Oops forgot about those! I enjoyed the game though for the first time for ages. Made Forest look decidedly ordinary. Wigan will be a massive game Saturday and I shall be there. Can't understand why JCH can't get a game though?
JCH should get more playing time but he does give the ball away and his a bit raw. I would bring him taylor and bowery on if we are chasing the game with 15 mins to go and put both bowery and JCH in the middle up front.
Hmmm...we were good but super?
erm no.
on the jolly scale. in which order are we putting Evans comments on our past performancesOriginally Posted by jolly_roger
good, fantastic, super, terrific. outstanding...
thought we played well on Saturday. By keeping the ball our backline is certainly having less to do then previous.
couple of standout points from the game:-
1. Green is excellent at breaking play up but his passing is awful, started to look a little leggy - not sure he will last the season.
2. Pringle has got to stop taking the extra touch. When he takes that extra touch he invariably cuts inside and loses the ball.
3. Smallwood is our best player. He rarely gives the ball away, reads the game well and gets into the right positions defensively and can tackle.
Another thought I had, of our current squad, I reckon Tidser would fit in well alongside Smallwood. A good passer of the ball who can get up and down the field. Worth a thought?
