    BBC interview with Les Hutchison

Les Hutchison willing to sell Rangers shares

Les Hutchison says he will sell his shareholding in Rangers if it becomes an impediment to his involvement at Motherwell.

The Barbados-based Scot is in the process of buying John Boyle's 70% stake after putting up an interest-free loan to the Scottish Premiership club.

Hutchison intends to gradually transfer ownership of the Fir Park club to fans.

"If it does become an issue, I would dispose of the shares," he said of his stake in Rangers.
"My understanding from my legal team is that's is not an issue. The only reason I wouldn't dispose of them quickly, if I had the choice, is purely to try and live in the hope that at some point it may in fact return to a reasonable level again.

"I made a purely financial investment when Walter Smith took over as chairman of Rangers. I thought there may be an opportunity to see some growth.
"I have to say it's not one of my better decisions having to look at that and watch the demise of my shareholding

I heard the interview and I can't believe that the BBC have highlighted that trivial section.

It was a very positive chat about his plans that will give comfort to Motherwell fans. With any luck it will appear on the podcast.

From memory...Brian McCafferty has been asked to be chairman and Alan Burrows (swimming gear and suntan lotion too) is off to Bermuda on Monday to meet our new sponsor.

Hope flow is off to Barbados and not Bermuda.
Heard the interview from Mr Hutchinson and was impressed at what he had to say. We now have two very impressive buisness men involved at our club and if they can't make our club a sustainable business then we have real problems. Unfortunately we also need scottish football to change but that is out with our control.
Still tough times ahead on and off the park but now we have a secure backer who is keen to give back to the community he and his family have grown up in.
We have been given an incredible chance to secure our clubs future, we must all grab it with both hands.

With regards to Les Hutchison he gave £30000 to Bothwell Golf Club last year to let them upgrade so he is known in our area for giving generouously to good causes and IMO we are certainly a good cause
