    Transfer Embargo ???.

I read yesterday that several clubs, and lo and behold, we are one of them are facing a transfer embargo in January.

If this is the case it would not surprise me if Lennon gave Heskey a contract before the Christmas period.

Whilst I agree with financial fair play in principal, there would appear to be one rule for the rich, and one for the rest of us. Lennon will be hamstrung in reorganising his squad, he will be lumbered with the ****e he would really like to get rid of.

Not a nice thought going into the New Year, just when we thought things were getting better.

My understanding is that we can still bring in new players so long as it's "one in and one out" ie to bring someone in we have to get rid of someone. Also the player coming in is paid wages that are less than 75% of what the outgoing player was earning. I'm sure that there is also a limit on how many players we can have in our squad to allow us to make transfers.

I also agree with the FPP in principal eric, but the way it's been set up is a crock of sh1t

But there were no complaints when you were in the PL and spending money like it was going out of fashion! Its only now that you've been relegated and not made it back up first time of asking that you all cry 'not fair'

Other clubs have had to get their house in order so why not you, Derby have been working towards complying with FFP for going on 5 years

Who's complaining? We know that we are in the sh1t. We were one of the clubs that voted in the Championship fair play rules. If we are under a transfer embargo so be it.

As both eric and I stated, we have no problem with FFP as a principle. The problem I have is how it affects (or rather doesn't seem to) the "big" clubs. FFP is not applied equitably across all clubs across all leagues.

    Listen

we wish Derby all the best and I'm sure you will go up

But with that attitude you will also be right back down ! again son !

because stevie the dutch man your manager knows you have to reall spend if you want to stay up.

And to be honest your directors have not got the balls to spend or you would have been in the premiership a lot earlier.

The premiership is not about having players like rioch and toddy like you had in the 70's you need international good players and unfortunately they ain't going to come to Derby why ?

stevie the flying dutchman can't attract them.
secondly you can't afford them !

so you would have to follow our model by attracting ex decent players on short contracts thats the only way it works.

so we wish you luck on your yoyo journey pal

I would like to know when Bolton Wanderers spent money like it was going out of fashion.

They were one of the most regular under spenders. That's why they got relegated eventually, and that's why I never shed any tears, I am on record on this board as saying I was quite happy to go into the championship. Less batterings , although that has continued, and cheaper ticket prices at away matches.

But I'm not going to wish Derby good luck, I wont be an hypocrite, I think I am like most other football fans, I wish most other clubs as much bad luck as possible. There are a few exceptions, but not many, and I wouldn't like it any other way.

I wish most clubs absolutely nothing. Neither good or bad. Like you eric, there is the odd exception. I concentrate on my own club and take fk all notice of anyone else most of the time
