    Hamilton: 24h on

Yesterday's shocker brought a swift end to the New Year joy. Back to reality with a bump.

Just as well St Mirren & Ross County lost too! - view external link

Dreadful to watch. Most of the teams we play - not just Accies - hustle and harass in a way that we don't. Not only that; in spite of at times having three players around our ball - carrier, the opposition still seems to have plenty of players left over to attack when they get the ball, turn unhindered and move forward.
I also watch some other teams' 'enthusiasm and energy' and wonder why the ref doesn't give more fouls against them. I think they get away with it because it's low level niggly foul play; it isn't going to break any legs, but it's still foul play. Now if Luc Nijholt was still playing for us...
Finally, the above are observations, not an excuse for yesterday's debacle, for which there are no excuses. We were second - best by a distance.

Five goals against frankly flattered us had the woodwork and some bad finishing not intervened that could have been a record breaking defeat. They hit the woodwork twice and I can remember at least 4 occasions where the ball was cut back and the accies player was in acres of space in our box only to sky their shot over the bar.

We were lucky to get away with 5. Had it been a boxing match we'd have been counted out after 15 minutes.

I still can't believe how bad that was yesterday, disgraceful doesn't begin to tell the story.
I'm finished with McManus after that, not because of how bad he was, but his attitude. Screeming at the wee keeper and Kerr, who he left in bother time after time. Hutchy covered for him last season. Ex Celtic and Scotland captain...the man is a coward and a disgrace, supposed to help the youngsters, the size of him and he has the heart of a mouse.
Tough decisions need to be made at the club, Black, Johansson and Leitch all need to go. Players need to be released and a new structure put in place for scouting and youth set up. Accies tore us a new one yesterday, they have a stadium n support that would embarrass Gretna, but cant argue with their set up. The money they made on selling players is why they are where they are.
Big changes, tough decisions are needed, aye it may cost to set up, but it has to be found. We need a plan and strategy. Right now we are rotten on and off field.

I came up from Manchester yesterday in relatively high spirits for the game, my spirits were quickly ripped out of me, i can not believe how bad we were as a team i was embarrassed. Not good enough all over the park - no pace, no urgency, no heart, no desire. I have to agree with the fella above - Stephen McManus should NEVER wear the shirt again - he was an absolute disgrace.

At least the weather was good

I've followed the Well for many years and that was the worst inept embarrassing performance I have ever seen by a team in Claret and Amber.

We knew what to expect against the Accies and yet as everyone else is stating, nothing but absolutely nothing was shown by the team on the park.

I would applaud Mr Baraclough making as many changes as he can against Aberdeen with a team of young players full of enthusiasm and a desire to play for the team.
