Yea but who were we playing as Flynn may have been looking at an opposition player which is more likely the way we are currently playing

I read with interest (as always) other posts on the forum that state that IB is reported as saying he is “looking for three new faces” but that some will have to be ‘moved on’.
We have no money, so how does the ‘move on’ part work? Do we say to a player who has 6 months to go on his contract (which applies to the majority) “we are not going to renew your contract, so we will let you go now so you can look for a new team”? If I am that player, I am going to say “if you want me to go, I want my 6 months paid up”, so there goes the money to pay for the incoming player who will replace that guy.
Or, does the player in that situation think he has a better chance of getting a contract at present with another team (also looking to freshen things up for the remainder of the season) rather than wait until the summer to leave when the pile of rejects is going to be much bigger? So, he leaves, perhaps with a lower pay out of a couple of months?
Or, have we found some extra cash down the back of t

Absolutely correct Wellowell. I am simply using Doncaster as an example of the type of team that could be watching Ojamaa. League 1 in England could offer his parent Polish club the sort of transfer fee we could not dream of offering and they may well wish to cash in on him now. What I am really saying is that we should not count on Henrik being at FP when we get into February.
To be honest I think we need completely new faces in general don't think Ojamaa looked fit until December and hardly really offered that much like the rest of the fuds.
New faces new to the club that's what we need.
Yes Henrik might not be at Fir Park come February, but my main concern is who out of the players we need to off-load will still be there putting a dent on our budget.![]()
Not every player would dig in for 6 months , if they are willing to step down and lets face it not many will be stepping up then they may find it easier to get in the door or win a longer contract elsewhere now rather than in the summer when 10 times as many players are free and they haven't kicked a ball in over half a year.
Of course clubs might prefer to wait until the summer but there may be some daft enough to think they had best snap up the chance of an ex top flight player while they can
I know he wasnt everyones cup of tea but id have Paul Quinn back and get shot of about 3 wages who play in a similar position to a worse standard
I'm a confirmed mug , im heading up tomorrow and im even looking forwards to it , back to playing sides who arent flying at the top of the league , a win for the good guys![]()
Read in the paper the other day Aberdeen were wanting to sign Quinn because he is versatile. How true that is god knows, but not a bad shout.
I was happy to hear at the interview today, IB stating that the lack of competition for places concerns him, leading to players believing they were a shoe in for places each week. Strong words from a manager to be on the edge of publicly speaking against his team.
With Moore coming back, i can see Ojamma leave at the end of the window. This frees up the money for 1 new free signing. Hopefully a midfield / winger who can spark some life into the team.
Ultimately, it would seem that the boss doesn't think there is enough hard working players in the squad for his liking and he will do anything possible to try get new faces in the door and the sleep walkers out.
I wouldnt want Quinn hes every bit as bad as what we have. Their defensive record is just about as bad as ours andOriginally Posted by Motherwellboy
Hope they do that should weaken them quite a bit.Originally Posted by wellin
