    More Bad News

For any one who has/does enjoy a pre/post match beer in the Fir Park Club, it has closed down...
My life is disintegrating before me, what the FK next.
Not that I was in before EVERY game, however I am a member. I have loads of memories (good and bad) of going for a quick beer there and 'nipping over' to game...and some of being back in after an hour lol.
proper tough time to be a well fan...

I know it disnae help you but as far as Im aware the takings a the Fir Park club never went into the club. Maybe the Cooper bar will seen a turn but would understand if it didnt horrible place to have a drink.

Every time you go in after a game especially if a Motherwell game has been on you have to screw yer eyes up to see a p1ss poor picture on one of they bloody over head projector TVs that no quality establishment ever uses now.Big screen tellys obviously no reached some parts of Motherwell yet. If you are lucky and its pitch black in

If it turns out that the club own it they have the ideal opportunity to benefit from captive audiences every home game and maybe if the speculate some money on new tv's etc they could make some decent money.

I know it could be radical and way out there but a football club bar shouldnt find it too difficult to turn the feckin sound up on football programmes for the punters having a drink

Sorry for all those who've lost their watering hole but hope the club take the opportunity to reach out to them with the Cooper Bar...great timing for a little investment though at the minute I suspect we've other priorities and it will be missed.

Thats right - what did the FP club ever put into MFC? Nothing. Maybe MFC will benefit if more fans spends their money in the Cooper Club.

They won't if it remains looking and having the atmosphere of a church hall. We go only as its convienient as some of us sit in east stand and other family members sit in the Cooper stand. At that for one round only after the game there is Zero to entice you to stay put.

Stevie, bang on description of the Cooper bar, made me laugh.
Guys, I drink in the Cooper too on occasions, although it's not the best, to put more doh into club, so get the point. To be fair it is always reasonably busy.
I was being a bit light hearted with the comment, although it is sad and I was in no way a regular, given the climate surrounding mfc just now, that's all.It feels like there is no good news.
However, Motherwell football Club is about the fans too you know,it's not always 'think what you can do for your club' it would be good if they done stuff to encourage us, ie make the Cooper bar better. Could they take over the FP club and have a big sports bar for home and away fans? I don't know. They could do more for the fans, that's for sure.
Jack Daniels, Electric, DL arms, the auld Puddler or the new Centeury to a few. They didn't put Jack into the club either, however they are in the hearts of thousands of well fans who follow the team.
For me supporting 'the well' i

    No more than a thought.
If you look all over the sporting world there are loads of other thoughts that encourage fans to attend, and make some cash. Sadly I can't remember anything exciting thoughts coming out the club in the last few years.
So yeah, I agree maybe they should focus on running the club a bit better!
That was in no way my main point though...
