Grimsby Fan here with a little perspective

Been to match today with family, firstly I'd like to say what a cracking stadium. You have come a long way in a short time; which kind of leads me into my post.

I came on here expecting to see the odd angry comment about losing but was shocked to see such negativity amongst the fans. The top ten threads were about either getting shut of your manager or slating players you have only just aquired, thus was a surprise. How many of you slagging of the club can honestly say you are lower than you predicted at the beginning of the season.

Probably not something you want to hear but you need to get real and think about what could have been.

What I saw today was a team who gave a good show against the top of their division. I wish we had that chance.

Any way, chins up lads, stick with the team you love. I will with mine.

Well said. Unfortunately people can not see past the trees and they want us to go and buy 2 million pound strikers and the odd million pound defenders. But in the real world its not gunna happen .Although Mr Steward is a wealthy man he is no Russian Billionaire so he has to look after his self, his business and family first.Like the Grimsby fan said we have come from playing Morecambe to Middlesbrough in 2 seasons . Some of these teams in this league have been in here a long time and still struggle, even with much better players, so what chance do we have. We have to keep our heads above the line and hope theres 3 teams worse than us. At the moment theres is, maybe even 4 or 5. Then next season build again improve in certain areas and finish higher up the league.I have faith in Mr Evans and his team why would we sack him who would we get? .We live in a day and age where nobody gets a chance everybody want immediate success. Well said that Grimsby fan (football fan)- what you need to realise however is that this board is not representative of Rotherham fans - it is made up of a few reasonable fair minded fans and a whole hotchpotch of losers who simply come on here to vent their spleen simply because it is a forum where people don't know them - as all people who do know them already ignore their drivel. Some don't live in the country, some never go to a match and some are simply the thick kid at school who you often wonder how they get by on a day today basis - this is part of their therapy.
Good luck to Grimsby - would love to see them back in the league.

Yes, Monty you are correct. It is strange how many people on this site feel the need to pretend to be somebody else... maybe you could explain why, as you were also previously known as...
