    No move for Williams

    From the Lancaster Guardian...

Ryan Williams look set to be staying with Morecambe after Motherwell’s interest in the popular midfielder cooled.

The 23-year-old spent time on trial with the Scottish Premier League side last week but has returned to the Globe Arena and was an unused substitute in the draw with Tranmere on Saturday.

Shrimps boss Jim Bentley said: “I spoke to their manager (Ian Baraclough) and they’re quite keen on him but they’ve got other priorities.

No idea what other priorities are either as IMO our midfield is the major problem as do f..k all to help defence and do f..k all to create chances so in other words do f..k all.

The Express reckons that summer move for him may be on the cards, when he's out of contract.

Can understand why club is waiting until Williams is out of contract before making move for him,but by the summer we could have been relegated.Surely makes more sense to try to prevent relegation happening by strengthening our midfield now!
