I would not say that it is desperation. It is an admission that the management team do not think we have enough to maintain our challenge for the top 2.
Our striker options are limited over the next 4 games and they are all against sides around us.
If we wait for Bent and Martin we could well be off the pace by the time they come back and are fully match fit.
The financial rewards alone from getting in the Premier League are unbelievable and we could be set up for years if we get over the line.
Waiting until the Summer means it could well be too late.
