    Preparing for relegation

I know the season isn't over yet and I know a lot can still happen, however I have seen nothing from this team whatsoever that suggests we will avoid relegation this season be that via the playoffs or automatically.

Results like tonight are typical of that of a doomed side. We play against a below par Aberdeen side and get into a winning position, only to through it away completely with our own incompetence at the back. Never mind where Aberdeen are in the league, or how well they have been playing, or whether you would have expected anything from this match beforehand, the facts are that we shot ourselves in the foot completely tonight and threw away at least a point, after throwing away two last weekend at home to 10 man Killie. That I'm afraid is not good enough and is all the hallmarks of a team about to be relegated.

The club now need to be looking ahead and putting in place a good plan and strategy for when we are relegated. The chances are major cuts will have to take place a

    Mr S,

If I may I will respond to the following.

"I have seen nothing from this team whatsoever that suggests we will avoid relegation this season be that via the playoffs or automatically".

    - I don't agree, we sounded like we were organised and we were comfortable in possession, albeit in patches.

"Results like tonight are typical of that of a doomed side. We play against a below par Aberdeen side and get into a winning position, only to through it away completely with our own incompetence at the back".

    - Agreed, but you are only as good as the other team allows you to play, and I think we restricted Aberdeen.

I say the above with me being a fantasist bordering on the delusionalary. Basically I live in hope.

I hope rather than think we can avoid the unthinkable.

If defence can learn to play as a unit and help each other then our midfield and forwards should be good enough to just keep us up.But we cannot keep giving soft goals away like tonight if we want to survive

Below Par Aberdeen side - This is the best side and manager they have had for 10 years (Traitor McGhee and Judas Brown) excluded.

We were always going to lose. The important games are after the split.

'doomed I tell you doomed' ...LSM I wouldn't like to live in your head! You always come on here full of doom and gloom, your holiday snaps must be really jolly!

I think there has been a steady improvement over the last couple of weeks that should give us all a glimmer of hope. Although I do really wonder what IB sees in Straker!!!!! There must be a mannequin in the Firpark shop that could do a better job?

Unfortunately we have only managed 4 pts from our last 3 games. This form will not see us survive.
