But what have the Romans ever done for us?
How long can we afford to carry...is often a phrase you hear about certain players, Revell springs to mind, great effort etc, but can't score.
But how about applying it to a manager, i.e. SE.
How long can we afford to carry a manager that
1. Seriously lacks tactical knowledge
2. Doesn't know how to change a game
3. Questionable regular bad treatment of match officials
4. Alienates players too quickly and is rumored not to be popular in the dressing room
5. Little experience at Championship level
6. Poor to diabolical hiring and firing strategy
So there you go, another SE bashing thread. I believe many managers could have got us up those two divisions, so I don't accept the 'look what he's done' banter. Also, the wembley win was a tad fortunate when you look at it, wonder goal, pens etc..
But what have the Romans ever done for us?
I have to disagree with 2. He can certainly change a game by poor sub decisions from winning games to throwing them ie pigs n derby for example.Just have to hope Wigan dont turn up the heat, there goal difference is a bit better than ours. UTM
I did think that myself to be honest, but decided not to type it!Originally Posted by Monkey46

I LOVE SE.
My Children will be called, Steven, Stephen & Evan.
Ok abit OTT, but the guy is doing well for his first season in the Championship.
We may have money, but nowhere near enough to compete straight away.
When we stay up, next season will be better and hoping for mid-table happiness haha.![]()

swintondude - as a Swinton lad myself may I respectfully suggest that from now on you just post under the dude - I don't think the of Swinton should be associated with this latest post.
As another Swinton lad may I respectfully interject and suggest there is merit in all the points raised but I do think the originator has been somewhat over-critical in his expression.
Sold us pegs and heather, ripped us off over tarmac and roofing scams. Need I go on?Originally Posted by scum_triumphant
