Great read mate. Went down a treat with my morning coffee.
Thanks very much Pommy...better get to bed myself, nearly 2am now with all this clocks going forward stuff:-D
Goodnight/Morning pal.
Do the locals consider themselves English or Scottish?
A strange one this AM...obviously i can't speak for everybody, but there was a Queens Park fan in the Social Club talking to a group of Berwick fans who had strong Scots accents about today's Scotland match (v Gibraltar) and they dismissed this firmly saying they were English.Originally Posted by axholme_miller

Used to love going up there for holidays, full English then a walk around the whole town walls.
My favourite bit of England is the Northumberland coast and, because of happy holidays, Berwick are my second team.
The local folk are a mix of proud to be English and wannabe Scots. That said we never came across any conflict in the pubs at night.
Visited the ground a few times when I worked up there, very basic but a good atmosphere and lovely people.
My adopted "scottish team" - after I got bored on a train to Edinburgh and got off at Berwick for no reason what so ever. Then some friends who were looking to take over the lease of a boozer, bizarrely relocated from Peterborough to Berwick - lovely town, been to footie twice as well -
Great read as usual Zip and great photos. Nice to see some blue sky and sunshine to go with the wind. Did you bag the pigeon and take it home for a pie :-)
One question I've always wondered from your trips - why always 4 programmes?
Great read, thanks
