In the days when Rotherham won the Kop Choir competition, there was a Kop Choir Leader who appeared on Sportsnight with Coleman on the night the competition was judged. Does such a beast exist today?
Enjoyed the singing in the Hollies Stand at Edgbaston yesterday and the massive amount of stick that was dished out to Mitchell Johnson. His bowling suffered as a result. The best chant, which was accompanied by synchronised arm movements, and to the tune of Sloop John B, was "He bowls to the left, he bowls to the right, that man Mitch Johnson, his bowling is shi.te". I'm sure we could wind up a few visiting strikers with a variation on this theme?

The "Kop Choir Beast" has you call him GM was a Barnsley fan representing Rotherham United on the night (another one of them famous cock ups). The party of 50 that travelled to Milan for the game about half a doz were Barnsley fans (ya couldnt make it up but its true). At times it got a bit tasty ha ha...U.T.F.M.

The prize Glen was tickets to European Cup Final 1970 Celtic v Feyenoord in Milan,flight,hotel, and all the kaboogle plus a new Ford Cortina which was raffled off by the club (but no-one ever found out who won it surprise surprise) could have been the local butcher ha ha.

What a wonderful day on the Tivoli End that was Archie. I can remember being very nervous before the singing started but you just held my hand and told me not to be afraid. Being a boy soprano in the church choir I started to sing my rendition of 'oh for the wings of a dove' or was it 'if I had the wings of a sparrow', I'm not sure now but I would like to think I played a small part in winning the competition. PS don't mention the bottle of wine.
