Following a call from a Miller who tried to make the point that it must not be an open or shut case because we are being represented by a top Q.C. Rob's final comment was quote "it's a little optimistic that the football league are going to put out a statement that Rotherham have fielded an illegible player and then down the line say oops! we've made a mistake".
We've been charged not sentenced. So I don't understand why he says the football league have to back down?

To be fair to Rob, the footballing authorities have a conviction rate that puts the East German secret police to shame. A charge and a conviction are practically the same thing.
Having said that, the Football league will want the issues of promotion and relegation decided on the football pitch rather than in a courtroom so we may yet be the happy recipients of a fudge.
