County & Kilmarnock lose. If only we had won last night!

A win for us in our next game against a Ross County who have just lost for the first time in ages will see us just 3 points behind them with 3 games to go...
The Hamilton result was of course a massive set back but we still have a chance.
Kilmarnock must also be in danger given the saints pumped them.
Let's beat county then see where we are at then...
We'll be 3 points behind them with an inferior goal difference and still be required to win all of our remaining games while hoping that they lose all of their's and that there is an almighty swing in the goal difference.Originally Posted by Davie1972

You can bet your life the Ross COunty players will have desire, drive and commitment after today's defeat when they play us next Saturday, unlike our players last night who were clueless, gutless, lacked ambition and desire after a total inept performance at Firhill.Thats the main problem with our players they just seem to accept defeats without any of them willing to stand up and be counted.I don't think anyone that played last night showed that they truly want to be at the club. Sorry to say it but if that's the case these players shouldn't be allowed to decide our clubs future. If that means playing the young players in the next four games so be it because if we go down we will have to play the youngsters for the whole season, which might not be a bad thing look at Hearts, yes the have money but as we haven't it makes sense to play the youngsters offering a average basic wage but a good win bonus which hopefully have the desired effect whereby the play to win.
Deep down I tend to agree. However how would you approach next weekend's game? Accept that its a game we're not going to win and a play off spot is the best we can hope for OR go for it to try to catch a team above us / keep St Mirren well below us? Not an easy question I know.Originally Posted by LawSteelman
If we don't beat Ross I fear we've had it. If we do then there is a chance - let's not overlook the possibility of draws among the other clubs; a couple of draws in the right matches and we could have something to play for. And let's not forget that our recent defeats were away from home; we've been doing better at Fir Park. The light of Premier League salvation may only be flickering weakly, but it's still there.
Is Stephen Pearson going to be fit for Saturday? It could be critical.

We need to build this game up as all or nothing get the players fired up and come out the traps at a 100 miles an hour ... then we can dictate the game put them under pressure from the off ... then do our usual make a rip roaring ccuunt of it and leave the fans crushed yet again and we will then hear kilmarnock will have lost a
I agree that we'll be a championship club next season ... I also fear for the seasons after too![]()
As usual LSM keeps the happy clappers on their toes. the massive goal swing he refers to is of course a 3 nil victory v rc and a friday win v killie leaving rc sweating on sat not to lose or we will be ahead.ok glass half full but given recent results not unlikely.
