    Goalkeepers

Ronald Koeman MUST address this goalkeeping problem that has been staring us in the face since promotion to the Premier League. An ageing Kelvin Davis and the ridiculously poor Gazanigga simply isn't good enough cover for Fraser Forster just like it wasn't good enough cover for Artur Boruc last season, it's no coincidence that we have leaked goals since Forsters injury. I blame the inclusion of Gazanigga for both goals v Leicester yesterday, it's quite obvious that the defence have no confidence in him or Davis. This summer we will require a decent loan signing to cover Fraser Forster until January, but I feel we must ditch Gazanigga and bring in a decent keeper to challenge Fraser. Both Pochettino and Koeman have ignored what is staring us all in the face...

Boruc is the obvious solution to the problem. He is a Southampton player too. But I fear he may have offended someone at the club: Les Reed perhaps?

^^ Boruc is out of contract in the summer so he'll be off (probs to B'mouth) That said, he is still under contract now, so with the Cherries already promoted, don't get why Saints haven't brought him back for the last 3 or 4 games of the season.

Goalkeeper situation is tricky. Essentially we need to bring in someone who is willing to be our backup GK when Forster returns from injury, but someone who is good enough to be a first choice GK in this league (unlike Davis and Gazza have been). For my penny's worth, I'd go with Vorm (sitting on Spurs' bench anyway), Heaton (had a good season and we can offer Premier League), Marshall (Cardiff going nowhere, and he was excellent for them in the Prem), or Alex McCarthy (probs relegated with QPR, and has played second fiddle to Rob Green all season...)

Either way, completely agree that we need another goalkeeper. Forster is apparently out until January, so at the moment we face the prospect of the first half of the season with KD and PG as our

HTF can you blame Gazza for both goals?
The first came as a result of Davis twice failing to tackle the scorer, allowing him to turn inside, when it was easier, the second time, to keep shepherding Marhez out towards the wing. I wasn't too impressed with Fonte's attempt to block the shot, either - very sluggish.
The second goal was a mis-hit pass from Gazza, but explain to me why both Fonte and Toby needed to chase the ball, like schoolboys, leaving Marhez unmarked in front of goal.
I'm not saying Gazza is the answer to our goalkeeper situation, but other than 1 mis-hit pass, I didn't see him put a foot wrong.

Seems as though the whole team have shut down. Relegation form needs to be turned around as it has a nasty tendency to carry forward to the next season.

Need a stronger squad entirely to compete, a good back up GK should be the first stop on that journey.

Agree with Pents. The few bad spells we have had often coincided with injuries and suspensions. Good starting line up but need more strength in depth.
