    positivity

its been wonderful to read here this year for all the support and positivity shown towards our team this year.

after the last few years of being spoiled by punching seriously above our weight we have came down to earth with a bump.

so now we have 2 big games to see where we are gonna be next season and how the club moves forward.

i look forward to us staying in teh spl after we get a 1-1 draw at ibrox and a 3-1 win back at the ark next sunday

and please, realists, if your only positivity is you are positive we are fecked, just ignore this thread thanks...you have all the other threads on here to chose from instead

Its all about opinions mate , at least you have the balls to make a call on the outcome instead of abusing folks opinion without offering anything of their own, like our resident keyboard hardman.

The most relevant fact is it doesnt mattera flying fpuck what any of us think as it will have no influence on the o

That's all you can ask for really. If we come back from Ibrox with a 1 1 scoreline we have given ourselves a half decent chance of survival. We are a far better team at Fir park than we are away from home.

Stoney its funny but I was just thinking about posting something on positivity when I logged on. The team have given us precious little to be positive about however we will not be up against a team of world beaters...far from it, they are distinctly average so the only issue for me is how well we play. If we play well we will win, the big question is will we and that is where the negativity is coming from as time and time again we have been let down in clutch games that could have seen us well clear of trouble.

In a perverse sort of way it was better for our fate to be decided last week as it has given us time to recover from disappointment before facing Rangers. It would have been far worse if we suffered the agony of a play off place on Saturday and then had to go straight into a play off game. Rangers have now had 4 tough games in 2 weeks, mentally they will view the Hibs game as the toughest one and they now have to raise their game again.

I was delighted to hear the Skippy quote

    re: positivity

Agree it's hard to be positive when the team have served up what they have this season. And while I don't subscribe to the 'we never turn up for big games' theory as it's clearly not true, what is undeniable is that our record in 'one-off' games for the last years has been dreadful.

And frankly, even ignoring the questions of character which exist in our team, I'd say despite them being average they have better players than us. Pick a composite team and while you can argue the difference isn't always that big (and Hammell, though short of Wallace, is no diddy for example) I think only McDonald and Johnson would be certainties for that XI.

In Vukcic they also have by far the most talented player that will be on the pitch.

Add all that up and while it's certainly not impossible for us to win, no amount of forced optimism will change the fact we're clear second favourites.
