Yes indeed many good memories, however one of them wasn't him scoring winning goal against Aberdeen last year - think you are confusing him with the prolific Craig Reid!Originally Posted by jwok

I think its the right move for both parties. I dont think he would be an automatic first choice with baraclough as the type of game the managers wants doesnt exactly fit to Sutton style. Good luck to him he was a good servant.Originally Posted by jwok
Best wishes to big John so long as he doesn't score against us![]()
Of course, story amended. I still see Sutton flying into the 'keeper when I remember that goal and quite forget that it was Reid who poked it over the line!
Wish him all the best im sure st johnstone would not have offered more money but maybe it was an additional year and more chance of starting games but as there a rival i hope he has the same success as he had the last time he left which is not a lot.
He did well with us over his two spells. Gives us an opportunity to bring in someone maybe a bit more mobile, I think Baraclough prefers that type of player. Sutton scored a few for us so there's a few goals to replace.
Sorry to see big John go; some of his goals were very significant ones, and it did seem that he and the 'Well were a good fit. I thought he did more than anybody to drag us back into the 6-6 Hibs game. I'm glad we had him and I wish him well except, of course...
Good luck to the big guy. I guess however he wasn't in Ian Baraclough's plans and not guaranteed a starting place. However he's now in his early 30s. We move on and it'll give IB more scope to build the squad of his choice.
Good luck to the big guy. He always turned in a shift, and often he got no service. I will always remember his overhead kick which was part of a hat trick he scored in a game ( I can't remember who we were playing, but I am sure someone will let me know). You could almost feel the ground move as he hit the ground.![]()
