Paul Douglas set to offer peanuts

to players that we have heard of...result will be that they turn down the offer and finish up with another Championship club or even L1 where there will be several clubs paying better than we do.

    Who will arrive?

mainly players that only Ellis D has heard of from a reserve side or maybe St Mirren.

    league 1 beckons!

These are the facts whatever anyone else on here thinks...The above will happen trust me!

if Kirkland comes I will eat my season ticket...Not a snowball in hell chance!

How can Evans be expected to progress things with so little money.

Chances are that he will soon get frustrated and be off.

We need to step outside the owning family and get some money in to survive not to mention increments!

Steve Evans says we've got more money to spend this season. We're going for say up to 8 better quality players. My maths we'll be able to offer higher wages to players right age who we could sell on.

Kirkland what is the point of signing someone of his age, it won't happen.

The signs are there can't see how things are gonna change SE says "players will want to sign for us now they have had a chance to see the set up we have"
But we are losing our best players.
Lets bring Warnock in get hull cast offs and scrape through another season.

as much I as respect other people opinions

pringle and morgan were good but hardly our best players. if we lost frecks smallwood and arneson then yes i would agree

lets give management team a chance before we knock

I appreciate it borders on treachery and heresy to even contemplate such a suggestion but taking a pragmatic view isn't it possible that TS has taken the club as far as he's able without substantial additional investment? Aren't the consequences of continuing with an uncompetitive salary structure inevitable relegation, sooner rather than later?

Our problem is we're doomed if we over invest and doomed if we under invest. I appreciate we might have more to invest than last season but it's all relative, we're starting from probably the lowest level in the Championship and every other club will have increased its budget by substantially more than us. So, in actual fact, we're even less competitive than last year.

If we overspend and get relegated, the chairman will be paying for it for the next 10 years (see Tony Fernadez , QPR).
