o/t Why do English people always spoil our foreign holidays?

Yes, I have met the odd loud mouthed German and the occasional obnoxious Yank and smug Frenchman but on the whole my unpleasant holiday experiences always involve the English?

I love that TV prog Benidorm because the writers have got it spot on...

Tattoos...snotty nosed kids with receding hairline in old pushchairs, fat feckless mums with nicotined stained fingers, beer gutted blokes wearing union jack shorts and so on...thats in the posh hotels!

I would say that the Russians are unpleasant but in a different way...totally rude to everyone, displaying arrogance and throwing the cash around just to show off

I would say it's because we have forgotten how to enjoy ourselves without having the impulse to destroy someone else's fun. A classic example is with football. Some people will applaud their teams goal, while others will then taunt the opposing fans. Is it not enough to enjoy your moment for the thrill and fun of it without being bitter at the same time. Then of course most people drink too much as well.
