    Gold Cup?

Anyone watching this. Have seen two games so far,
Haiti/Panama and Jamaica/Costa Rica. Didn't look much on paper but both turned out to be excellent games with fast/skilful players all over the pitch.

When you look at the enthusiasm, skill, pride and intent that these teams exhibit it makes you realize what a one paced bunch of uninspired plodders our national team is at the moment.

The games are being played in the early hours over here so no chance of watching any so far due to getting up early the next morning. I watched that video that you posted, a good goal by Ducans Nazon.

Crap yes, I forgot about the time difference. Shame because there have been some surprisingly good games.

    re: Gold Cup?

I've been watching what I can. CONCACAF getting better bit by bit. US needs to win the tournament to avoid having a single playoff for a spot in the Confederations Cup as the US won the 2013 Gold Cup. Typically, Mexico is our biggest competition but they are featuring a weakened squad as a few top guys have been injured and some of their top players played in Copa America and won't be in the Gold Cup.

Honduras looked the US' equal in the opener. Their manager is the same guy that took Costa Rica to the quarterfinals of the World Cup, where they fell to the Dutch on penalties.
