Will be good, am looking forward to the start of the season, I guess we will know more about this team after the Wednesday friendly though.

Yes, only a friendly but this should be another good test for our new team and formation. The Owls have nearly matched us by bringing in eight new players this summer and are still chasing a couple more.
New players to look out for are Lewis McGugan on a permanent deal from Watford after his loan spell last season and Portugese forward Matias, bought for a reported £2.2 million from Nacional. And of course they are now managed by ex Sporting Lisbon and Besiktas manager Carlos Carvalhal.
Whatever the result I will be happy if we repeat the football we played against Bolton Wanderers on Friday night. The formation looked solid and we didn't resort to the long ball hoof even when put under pressure.

We looked great again last night. I don't care what anyone says about pre-season friendlies, to come away unbeaten against three Championship sides can only give everyone a massive amount of confidence going into the new season.
Excellent performances from King, Laird (of course), Dawson and goal machine Madden. Kevin van Veen looked far better playing behind the front two where he had more space to get the ball down and use it to effect.
There were defensive mistakes for both goals but we never stopped playing the passing game from the back that this formation allows. It's giving us good possession of the ball even against teams from a higher division. Long may this style continue.
Sounds like the lads put on a great performance, and looking around I can see that "others" are starting to realise what we knew all along. We have a very good manager, building a very good team, backed up by a fantastic and ambitious new chairman.
Everything in the garden is rosey, the Iron is on the up!
