    a bit of realism

it would be nice to get a wee birt of realism on this site....

given the fixture start we have had how many really expected us to have 3 points on the board by now?

but even then its back to the same cr@p posted as we got all last season....have we been totally hammered in any game yet.......not according to the scores.

so lets get real and wait till we have had a full round of games before they silliness starts??

Totally agree would have liked a few more points but looking at start 6 would have been max imo so only 3 off that lets wait and see what happens next 6 then judge

The endless negativity on here can get a bit tedious at times.

I would have expected us to have 6 points on the board by now but we are nowhere near good enough to have achieved that. I have serious concerns about the quality of our strikers and the gapping hole in midfield really needs to be addressed and that is before I get to our defence.

Tactically IB seems very naive and doesnt yet seem to quite grasp what it takes in this league to win games. Had Rangers not been so inept and led by an even worse tactician than IB we would be playing in the imaginativelyd "Championship" this season.

Based on what I've seen so far its going to be hard to secure points and it will be a close call as regards relegation.

Not sureI completely agree about Rangers being crap, the tactics employed by Motherwell was to give rangers as much poses ion as the wanted up to the 35 yard line then attack the all carrier. This workday effectively becaue the Well midfield and defence were torrid and determined and won most second balls. The ball was released quickly to the wings causing Rangers defence some major headaches. Don't forget the media darlings aka Rangers were expected to win and few were optimistic we would triumph. This season we have a few unknowns, the current squad has not been together as a unit even through the preseason friendlies, so jury still out for me on how we will fare this season. Next couple of games will probably indicate what is working and what needs to be fixed. Mon the Well.

The Realism that has hit me is at the moment we don't have a team that you think they will score a lot of goals. You look through the team and think that player will probably score this amount of goals in a season and that player will probably get that amount of goals. Then you think we have good attacking option but no out and out striker. We have two wingers who can on their day rip the oppositions full backs a new one. But 9 times out of 10 they have nobody to hit in the box. A problem we will struggle with all season if we fail to bet someone in before the transfer window closes. I am not suggesting we try to sign this player but we need a Jon Daly in our team. Someone who can hold his own against SPFL defenders. I do think we are only one player away from a successful season. Although a new right back and an extra midfielder would be nice as well. Although early in the season, 3pts from a possible 12 is still dissapointing.

Yes we need bit of realism. The realism of it is we have lost four on the bounce and on this form we are going nowhere. But it's ok, we've had tough start to our league campaign and played some of the best teams in the league. I don't care who we've played so far, a total of 3 points from our first 5 games is a shocking return, no matter who the opposition is. The sooner some people come to terms we are in the mire this season again the better. I just hope the people who matter do something about it a bit quicker this season than last. This season there may be no lucky escape.

The reality is that we are in a relegation struggle again as we remain a poor team with a poor manager. I reckon 11th and 12th places will go to ourselves and Kilmarnock this season, though in which order remains to be seen.

Here's your realism if we don't get rid of the manager who is living on two games in the past then we will go down .Dont know who told him Taylor was a player but quicker we get him back to Reading the better ,we seem to loose a goal everytime a cross comes into the box don't we work on this during the week. Time to give Kennedy a chance in the middle of the defence but we really need two players in before the window shuts but please no more from non or lower league English teams who can't get a game down there
