No doubt he and the happy clappers will try to sugarcoat this latest abomination but there is no hiding place. Another game, another lead squandered, good chances missed and another two cheap goals surrendered. Four defeats on the bounce simply isn't good enough and Baraclough appears to have no answers so he has to go.

You can make excuses for losing to Aberdeen and Hearts, even if you didn't love the performances, but there's nothing to defend today - sounds like Ripley kept the final defeat respectable as well.

I've been out the country for the last few games and haven't been on this site really since all the changes but, I come back on and true to form, dosser1 is calling for baracloughs head and the lawman is using the word 'abomination'.

Now, I accept the recent run of results is less than encouraging and there appears to be the same defensive frailties that blighted us last year. I am also concerned that (and I'm basing this on media reports and stats) despite lots of creation, there's been little goal convertion.

My point is, whether the ne'er do wells like it or not, this is a largely new squad made up of many players being asked to make a step up....team cohesion takes time. Perhaps they may not be good enough.

We all knew this seasons squad was somewhat of a gamble.

So, to the rational thinking amongst this forums contributors, for the benefit of an exile who hasn't seen the new squad in any way.....

are we really in trouble? Are the always rights actually right? What a

A good season for us will be finishing in 10th position.Thats better than last season. Let the manager get on with it,give the guy a chance.Too early to be calling for managers head.

I would have considered myself a happy clapper but no other team has went 1-0 up in their last two games and taken nothing from them, the players are now doing what we did last season accepting defeat as though it doesn't matter to them.I have said from day one that IB deserves time to play his style and team but lose against Killie and I'm sorry his time is up and he has to go.Yes it's good to play nice football but at the end of the day you only win games by putting the ball in the opposition net and stop them from scoring in yours sadly we don't look capable of either right now.

Dunno which camp I fall into but we're in bother because we're poor in every area. We don't create/score enough, the centre of the park is non-existent and the defence, though probably slightly better than last season, is still terrible.

Now the league we're in is far from a high standard meaning at times we'll pick up points because others throw us victories - much like we've thrown away so many points already. Whether that will be enough to keep us up, I don't know. It will certainly be tight.

Even that wouldn't be absolutely fatal if there was any indication at all Baraclough is capable of building a team over time. The only true positive from his reign - which is now at the eight month/nearly 30 game mark - is the signing of Marvin Johnson. It currently seems highly doubtful the struggle will be worth it as some point in the future even if we survive this season.

Les Hutchison, while very open on most things, was very quiet over the details of Bara's contract - I'd be sur

I don't know it you've seen any of the last few games, but have a look at the calibre of the goals we are losing. We haven't got a striker of note, the only decent one we have and Baraclough plays him in midfield. I don't care how well Baraclough says we are playing, not scoring, and losing joke goals most weeks only spells out one thing....We will struggle big time.

    To be fair, I haven't.

Having read through some of the other threads, it would seem that much of the problem is baracloughs tactics.

Would a new manager make this team better? Is it too soon to say? How long should we give the manager?

    re: Beat again

Our next league games are Killie, Ross County, Hamilton, Partick, which takes us to the end of September.

At the minute the only debate is whether to bullet him now or let him bang a few more nails into his coffin with those four matches.
