I like Frecks. I like his style. I like his guts and heart and determination. I like how if we've a tight, important game, he stands up and makes things happen. He's a bit like our version of Gerrard that way.

Only concern for me is how Halford takes it. Bit hard to humiliate a senior, presumably decently paid, pro and get away with it. Big test for Evans' man management, because we don't need factions in the dressing and we definitely do need a fully firing Halford.

With loan midfield players is Frecks going to play? Captain is not just about playing, hope Smallwood is now vice captain.

David R, maybe Halford will go out on loan somewhere. He hasn't given the impression so far that he wants to be with us.

Good all round egg frecks popular with fans staff and players alike. He's maybe not as young as he used to be but will give 100% to the cause and will lead by example. Also well done to Steve for having the courage to change things that aren't working. Let's get that millers fighting spirit back now that we know and love.

Halford could play better now the captaincy can sometimes affect players like that

Halford has taken it very well and it was discussed with him a few days ago in a very nice manner.

He has had some personal issues to contend with and hopefully this will help him re his game.

As I have said , people should cut Halford some slack and give the lad some time to sort things out.
