My optimism is beginning to fade too. Agree with the above. I do think this year, more than any other, is the hardest for us to compete with the ridiculous spending power of other teams. I feel for Steve, he has the most difficult job in the championship. He tries to sign players to give us a chance of staying up but we can only seem to attract journeymen who nobody else in the championship want. Anyone who is half decent is snapped up by other clubs who play 10k+ a week.

On a slightly more positive note, there are still lots of points to play for and a couple of wins would do us the world of good and give us (players and fans) some confidence moving forwards.

Halford as not got the qualities or football skills to be a captain, for Evans to say this player was a priority signing this season, shows that Evans is losing the plot, Halford is not a good defender, get Rawson in Quick, & give a chance to Wood alongside him after dropping Collins, get Mattock fit at left full back or get one bought, thought I would never say this, but hurry up Broadfoot, after his heriocs last season along side of Rawson.

I highly doubt we'll see Wood given chance, would love to know why Evans doesn't like him, it's certainly not footballing reasons, he's looked good when we've seen him.

I thought Ledesma was a disgrace when he came on. Jogging around like he didn't give a toss. Stealing money out of Tony Stewarts pocket in my opinion.

Take a look at the role Ben Pringle played today. He never left his area of the pitch. For us he was here there and everywhere.

Beaten again by a thoroughly average side. I shudder to think what a team like Middlesbrough would do to us.

Norma give it a rest,The lack of money,they have got more than us crap,if we can't compete with the money at least we should compete on the field,every year we have a new team it takes us half the bloody season to gel & by then we are miles behind.Ok it's not easy but at least compete,every game as to be our cup final, in your face high tempo football.And if we have not got the money please don't waste what bit we have got on the ground extension,because it's bloody awful in a half empty big ground & that's what will happen if we go down.If Stevies right about the refs not liking us,let's start & make teams not like us,like Stoke did in the Prem they could not compete with the money but they bloody well did on the pitch.

I wasn't making excuses for lack of effort and commitment,just stating facts about differences in financial clout. We should always put the effort in, thats the mimimum we expect. You don't have to be intelligent to see why man city over last few years have assembled a squad to win premier league do you? Its simply money and lots of it. They've wasted 5hitloads too but thrown enough at it to eventually succeed. Fulham have one of the highest budgets in the league (spending 12million on McCormack for example), 10x our budget. We are dissapointed to lose which shows you how far we've come. Lets keep gettting behind the team and see what happens...
