These lads are good. Get them settled in the team and the points will start to accrue. It is not complicated.
Then we can deal with the hoof ball tactic. That is, Ban it forever!
Come on TS, step in and guide SE - we are better than what we have shown and we have some decent players - just not being played or being played in wrong position

Yes, get Thorpe and Rawson in- which may even provide us with a little pace and sharpness at the back. We couldn't get much worse than the slow donkeys we had in central defence vs Fulham. We just can't go 2-0 down after less than 20 mins if we want a cat in hells chance of staying up! Spot on about the long ball as well- we just can't play like that.
Totally agree and no way can they be any worse than Collins and Halford.....or even partner Wood with one of them .... If it's still looking rocky after 5 more then it has to be Broadfoot and either of those three...,
Defo agree with this, we need to be sharper and mobile in this division and we'll get that with these 2 lads, both are good with the ball also, so we can play it from the back without hoofing it up field.
two bollards would be more mobile than the current defence
Season starts at Charlton. Steve Evans has started with the keeper. Now its the defence. If Mattock isn't fit for start of next week need a left back in. Centre backs Halford & Collins they can go. Wood with either Rawson or Thorpe abit of experience with the younger Rawson, it worked with Broadfoot whose due back soon. Make Smallwood the captain.
its got to be rawson and wood. thorpe played against mk dons and i know it was only one game but he didn't look very good at all. particularly the 3rd goal when he let his man run right across him for a tap in.
as i say only one game but it wasn't encouraging
I also agree, surely it makes more sense to have two younger players in that will be keen to keep their places in the team, than our current two who look like they are playing their contracts out and could'nt careless if we stay up or go down
To be fair, Thorpe's strength is in midfield. He was partially to blame for a goal at QPR but after he had settled down he grew more and more into the game and started to influence. He is class and although there is work still to be done, he could become a great player for us.
