    Joe Wark

Just heard the sad news of Joe Wark's passing. There won't be another like him. Sadly missed. The link has Eddie's GLF tribute.

Very sad , always sn empty feeling when one of your boyhood heros passes away. A true legend and a title earned and deserved rather the 90 minute heros the media ponce about these days.

Someone has started a petition on the change.org website to re-name the east stand the Joe Wark stand. If you go to change.org and put Joe Wark in the search bar it will come up.

Mr Motherwell for me. A boyhood hero, the man with rubber legs who could tackle cleanly from any angle. Never gave up, played with passion for his club and a smile on his face. Really sad and a great blow to his family but - and I am sure they know this - will always have a special place in the heart of Motherwell fans. RIP Joe.

Can only echo all previous posts. A great player, fantastic servant and a proper gentleman. You just don't make 'em like Joe these days ... RIP.
