Where Do You Perceive The Worst Place To Live In England?

Liverpool always smacks of desperation and sorrow for me when I have visited.

I can only nominate places I've been, and Slough is a place I would not like to live. Liverpool has a nice waterfront.

A lot of people think Swindon is but Slough beats us on this score

Evening Gaz. I recently returned to London with my two sons for a mate's funeral. I took the opportunity to show them the area where I used to live before moving to France in '73.....Lewisham and Catford. Jeez it's f***ing changed and now must be high up on the list of worst places to live in England.

I was in Lewisham / Blackheath for new year a couple of years ago and it seemed ok from what I saw but I never saw a lot to be frank lol

For me Hull and Croydon. Went to Hull recently with the Nobbers and all I saw going to the game was a seriously run down area with more boarded up houses than I have ever seen. Characterless Croydon and full of cheap hotel chains always offering deals and a pass through to and from centre of London.
