    Benik Afobe?

The player hasn't looked happy for quite a while now. Is he just tired, although he shouldn't be? Is he unhappy about been played out of position at times? Is he 'lost' without Dicko alongside him? Or, is the inevitable speculation regarding the next transfer window playing on his mind? Whatever it is this is not the same player we signed last season" Thoughts.

Personally I think he missing the willing running of Dicko.. Adobe seems to have to go searching for the ball more instead of being the deadly prowler we know he can be.. Would like to see him played upfront with Holt doing the holding and playing Afobe in.. Definitely not the player he was last year though :-(

Wasn't at the game today coz I had to Work :/ but did manage to catch the game on TV and I agree with you mate having Holt doing the 'Hod carrying' for him might get him back to near where he was, because today for large periods of play he was isolated and that was partially his fault.

Afobe is and never will be a lone up front man he needs to play off someone else just like SGB did

Pretty much what I was trying to say in my previous post it was most recently illustrated by Big Chris and SEB.

    re: Benik Afobe?

Afobe is better playing just off the main striker. We often see him drop off deep to collect the ball. A lot of the donkey work for Afobe was often done by Dicko. A player that has proved difficult to replace. If Wolves do decide to lump it forward, Grant Holt will at least give a physical presence and hopefully this will give Afobe more chances in front of goal.
