I felt for Thierry last night.

Whether it was being nutmegged by Poole for the Ammies' first goal or taking ineffectual thrashes on goal late on from the right wing, nothing would go right for him.

I was critical of SD last year for writing him off after so few games, but I take it all back. Our manager is vindicated.

Let's hope that if we go after Bakayogo he shows a bit more quality in the LB position.

Last night Audel gave the display I expected of him. He was awful with us, awful with lower league Lincoln, and then improved (figures-based, I never saw him) with Macclesfield. This time, in the full glare of prime time TV he showed us the 'talent' I always knew he had.
If there is a message for the Alex from last night it's got to be: be sharp, close Eastleigh down, don't let them have any space. Our lads have the skill, but they will be fired up and full of expectation. We have to be on the same form as last Saturday. If we are, then we can take on Stoke and Chelsea as desserts.
