    Penalty Retake

Although I still think it was a shocking decision as exact same as pen ict scored with previous week Law made it easy for Thompson as he actually stood in box before pen taker even moved which is an amateurish error granted ict player moved 1st but Law was already in box when run up began should have at least had 2 feet behind line before he runs up

I agree our defenders made it easy, but the penalty award itself was a poor decision. There has to be intent, and how can a player who has his back to the play show any deliberate intent on handling the ball?

However, why didn't he order a second retake due to the ICT players encroaching the box?

The game was littered with the referee's incompetencies and it'll be interesting to see if any action is taken against him, but I'm not holding my breath on this one.

Anyway, the penalty award and referee's performance shouldn't deflect from how poor a side we actually are at the moment.

Totally agree about Law at penalty, and you can say the goal affected the game. But what is not in dispute is our total lack of fight and guille in the middle of the park. Our next opponents Ross County have been creating plenty of goal scoring chances and failing to take them, let's hope their misfortune continues against us but knowing us it won't probably happen.

I felt for Law a bit, as his natural reaction would be to go with the player. Anyway, the ref had an absolute shocker, never a penalty in the first place. He booked McManus for a tackle where he won the ball fairly, he did go in a bit hard, but the Inverness player, Raven I think his is had a very similar challenge on Johnson, who reacted to the tackle earlier in the game and the ref never spoke to the player or gave a free kick. A very poor ref indeed.

He had a howler no doubt about that as for it to be a foul it has to be deliberate handball and a deliberate handball is an automatic booking so he got it wrong as should have booked him if deliberate and if not it's not a penalty so ars.d it up completely
