Thread: With promotion achieved who goes

    With promotion achieved who goes

As much as who we sign important who we lest go.

Think the following either aren?t good enough for PL, injuries/age have caught up with them or just no thanks

    Rasmus - deal done
    Wober - go
    Joshua G - too old
Sam B - sadly time seems to have caught up with him - coaching role?
Meslier - still think he can develop but if a decent offer came in
    Cairns - go
Harrison - turn coat - go
    Gruev - not sure
Firpo - great going forward but would need the system to adapt
Solomon - should be our first signing
    Joffy - sell
    Greenwood - sell
    Gyabi - sell
Rothwell - not sure about trying to sign him
    Aaronson - sell
    Bambi - sel/releae

If most of those go that should bring in about 50m.

We should also try and buy up the best of the EFL

    Esteve
    Pandur
    Johansson
    Cirkin
    Burrows

    HOP,

Hard to disagree with the list. Some minor tweaks for FWIW

Meslier- have to sell. Let him move on with this career. I think he'll be a star... just not at Leeds.
Firpo- he has to go. Not that he's not good enough but he wants back to Spain. Let him move on. Second choice is not good for Leeds.
    Gruev- Keep
Rothwell - let him move on

I really like Johansson. Still chapped we didn't sign him last year.

I know it will go over like passing gas in church but Leif Davis would be very handy for us this year.

None of the ones you mentioned should be on the list especially Firpo he will destroy us all by himself.
I can see the melts as Solomon moves to another country on a hefty profit. From what I hear a couple heavyweights are into him.
    Rothwell isn't even ours.
Cairns why should he go? Not that will play much but good cover. I still don't get why we need an experienced keeper when we have a country number 1 and hasn't done much wrong. Better money spend elsewhere which by the sounds of it we won't have much to spend to bring in 3 or 4 decent players.
Some people may not know but we still to pay fees from transaction's ongoing till 28.

Hard to disagree with your suggestions Hopey.
Farke is similar to Bielsa in that familiarity and team spirit results in the team performing better than the individual parts. Sam is a pl player albeit at end of his journey, I’d keep hold of him for 1 year if he was willing to also, he’s no nonsense reliable for the most part. Solomon hopefully our first signing agreed

🗣️ Sam Byram: "I?ve not said it to him [Farke] but he?s probably saved my career in a way. The last year at Norwich and over a few seasons there, I?d had an incredible amount of injuries. For him to give me a chance to come back and be involved in something like this, I?ll never be able to repay him. For me to be back at my boyhood club and be able to play and be involved, it?s amazing.

"I?ve loved every minute. It?s an incredible dressing room and staff, everyone at the club. The fans are incredible, it?s been nothing but great memories, some I?ll cherish forever. It?s been a childhood dream of mine, and it?s finally come true.

"I?ve not hidden my love for the club and I?d love to stay next year. They know that. Hopefully, I?m part of that, and, if not, I?ll watch on and always be a supporter." 💙💛

Rasmus - deal done bore off
Wober - Farke, clearly not interested
Joshua G - Never was anything more than vibes man
    Sam B - sell
Meslier - SELL SELL SELL BEFORE HE ENDS UP BACK IN NET
Cairns - He will be kept, homegrown, third choice at most and will never play
Harrison - lol, 1- he’s rubbish 2- he turned his back on us 3- he has never apologised
    Gruev - 100% keep, won’t be a starter but he’s a good player
Firpo - leave on a high, don’t let the PL Firpo ruin our memories of Champo Firpo
Solomon - absolute no brainer, he’s the best winger we have.
    Joffy - sell
    Greenwood - sell
    Gyabi - sell
Rothwell - no, did a job, we now need better.
Aaronson - Honestly, unless someone offered 15m+ I’d be keeping, his work rate and effort alone are worth having him
Bambi - Loan him out if nobody will buy, I love Bamford, I think he’s better than Piroe but we all know there’s another injury lurking after pre season, so it isn’t worth the risk anymore.

Thing is if Byram is happy with being 3rd choice right and left back, you’d keep him because he’s a homegrown player, he is dependable and I doubt he commands a high salary.

Ipswich did the whole buy the best of EFL and they’ve been an absolute joke. We need PL experience and high level quality

Need to do a combination of the two given FFP/PRS rules.

Lewis Cook, Lewis Ferguson, de Bruyne, Longstaff and Delap would do 😎 not that those would ever happen
